Stand with Ukraine: Flag Ceremony

The City of Armstrong, Township of Spallumcheen, Armstrong Spallumcheen Parks and Recreation Commission and the Armstrong Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion are pleased to join together to host a public ceremony in support of Ukraine on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park at 3285 Pleasant Valley Road in Armstrong, BC.

Event Agenda:
– City of Armstrong/Township of Spallumcheen Mayors Speeches
– Speech from Ukrainian community spokesperson Andrea Malysh
– Raising of flag & singing of Ukrainian National anthem
– Moment of silence

The Ukrainian flag will replace the Red Ensign for a three-week period from April 2nd until April 23, 2022.

Stage 2 Water Conservation Restrictions Activated: Residents are encouraged to limit watering and to follow the restriction guidelines. For more information, please consider reading the City of Armstrong Water Use and Conservation Bylaw.

Sanitary Cleaning and Closed Circuit Camera Work: Contractors and City staff will be accessing easements for sanitary, storm and water within resident’s property from August to November. Notices will be provided when work will begin in the area via door knock. Access to private property will only be conducted during the day.
