Comprehensive Armstrong Revitalization Initiative

The Comprehensive Armstrong Revitalization Initiative (CARI) is a long-term, community-driven project to reimagine Armstrong’s downtown core. Guided directly by public input, CARI focuses on improving safety, promoting active transportation, accessibility, and vibrancy while respecting Armstrong’s heritage and supporting local businesses.

The initiative looks at the look, feel, and function of key downtown areas, with a focus on:

  • Safer streets and intersections
  • More inviting public spaces and landscaping
  • Improved pedestrian and cycling connections
  • Wayfinding signage and placemaking
  • Integration with the Rail Trail network

This project is funded by the Province of BC’s Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program (REDIP) and the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI).
