Pleasant Valley Boulevard North - Construction Transition - Phase 1 to Phase 2
Armstrong, B.C. — Chapman Industries Ltd. is preparing to transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of the Pleasant Valley Boulevard (PV Blvd. North) project. This represents a significant milestone in the project. Phase 2 moves the construction project further east along PV Blvd North. This transition to Phase 2 will happen in two steps.
Step 1 – Anticipated Start Date: Tuesday, July 15
During this initial step:
- PV Blvd. North will be closed from Mill Street to Shepherds Lane.
- Vehicular traffic will use Mill Street to Wood Avenue to Shepherds Lane to access the west section of PV Blvd. North.
- Parking will be available on the south side of PV Blvd. North. The north side will be used for construction staging.
Step 1 is anticipated to take one (1) week to complete and is shown on the following map:
Step 2 – Anticipated Start Date: One (1) week after completion of Step 1
During this second step:
- PV Blvd. North will be opened for single lane vehicular traffic from Mill Street to Okanagan Street.
- Shepherds Lane will be closed to/from PV Blvd. North during this step.
- Parking will be available on the south side of PV Blvd. North. The North side will be used for construction staging.
This step is anticipated to take 1 week to complete and is shown on the following map:
Phase 2 Construction – Anticipated Start Date: One (1) week after completion of Step 2
Once the project has transitioned to Phase 2:
- PV Blvd. North will be closed from Mill Street to Shepherds Lane.
- Vehicular traffic will use Mill Street to Wood Avenue to Shepherds Lane to access the west section of PV Blvd. North.
- Parking will be available on the south side of PV Blvd. North.
- Parking will be available on the north side of PV Blvd. North, where possible, and as marked.
Phase 2 will commence at the completion of Step 1 and Step 2, and is shown on the following map:
What to expect:
- Temporary road closures in sections (with detour signage).
- Delays for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists – please allow extra travel time.
- Increased noise, dust, vibration, and heavy equipment/traffic in the area.
- Possible temporary disruptions to on-street parking, driveways, or access
- Access to properties and businesses will be maintained whenever possible and flagging personnel will assist if needed.
