Pleasant Valley Boulevard North Improvements – Update #3

Progress continues on the Pleasant Valley Boulevard (PV Blvd. North) project. This work moves us further into the first phase of the City’s downtown revitalization initiative.

During the week of April 20, 2026, planned activities include removal of the asphalt and concrete. Additionally, excavation of unsuitable materials will commence.

During the week of April 27, 2026, removal of unsuitable materials will continue and new structural fill is planned to be imported to support the new storm system.

It is important to note that an emergency plan is in place for the PV Blvd North project and all emergency services providers, including police, fire and ambulance to name a few, are advised of the plan and know of the construction zone. The emergency plan is to ensure the safety and protection of everyone involved – first responders, construction workers and the public.

What to expect:

  • Temporary road closures in sections (with detour signage).
  • Delays for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists – please allow extra travel time.
  • Increased noise, dust, vibration, and heavy equipment/traffic in the area.
  • Possible temporary disruptions to on-street parking, driveways, or access (advance notice will be provided for any driveway restrictions).
  • Access to properties and businesses will be maintained whenever possible; flagging personnel will assist if needed.
