Residential Garbage Collection

Waste Connections of Canada is contracted by the City for the curbside pickup of residential garbage.  Weekly curbside pickup of residential garbage occurs on either Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the area of the City in which you live.

If you live south and east of Pleasant Valley Road, your pickup will be on Tuesdays. If you live north and west, or south of the Royal York Golf Course, your pickup will be on Wednesdays. Please see attached map.

Please ensure your garbage containers (maximum of 2) are at the curb by 7:00 a.m.

A reminder that additional garbage bags require a sticker, available from City Hall at a cost of $1.50 each.

For concerns about lack of pickup of your garbage, please call either City Hall at 250-546-3023 or Waste Connections of Canada at 1-855-765-0565.
