Public Meeting to Discuss Financial Plan

 

The public is invited to attend a Public Meeting regarding the 2016 - 2020 Financial Plan (Budget). The proposed five-year financial plan will be presented with an opportunity for the public to make comments and recommendations. Members of Council and staff will be on hand to answer questions.The meeting will take place at 7:00 pm on Monday, April 11, 2016 in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 3570 Bridge Street, Armstrong. Information packages will become available at 12:00 noon on the day of the meeting at City Hall and on the City's website.

Committee meetings are open to the public and are held during the day of a Council meeting. Both Committee and Council Meetings are held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 3570 Bridge Street. Council Meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and Public Hearings are usually scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Agendas are available for online viewing the Friday prior to a meeting.

Illegal Suites

ILLEGAL SUITES

The City of Armstrong would like to remind the community of regulations regarding secondary (rental) suites.

Homes that contain a separate suite (generally defined as a suite rented to others, located in an otherwise single family residence and containing a separate kitchen), must be properly zoned and must be constructed to the standards of the BC Building Code.

Rental accommodation is encouraged in the City, but Council emphasizes the importance of a legalized suite. Landlords should ensure that:
